KTEL PIERIA S.A. begins its journey through time in the early 1950s. The vision of the first shareholders of the Intercity Bus Company of Pieria to organize a company that would serve the passenger public of Pieria takes shape. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of kilometres have been covered safely and many generations have moved to all destinations in our prefecture and throughout the Greek territory.

Sixty years later, the social role of the KTEL PIERIA S.A. continues to be decisive for the movement of the passenger public of Pieria, but even more so for the movement of the most promising part of our country, the schoolchildren.

The KTEL PIERIA S.A. is today one of the largest and healthiest companies in our country. It has 110 shareholders and a state-of-the-art fleet of 59 buses, most of which have been purchased in the last five years. It is one of the most modern fleets in Greece. All buses are equipped with the latest air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems. Many of them have toilets.

The privately owned premises consist of the main building of 4000 sq.m. which is also a mini shopping centre. It also has a privately owned petrol station and a parking area at the entrance to the town.

For two years now, KTEL of Pieria has a new management which consists mostly of young people who have a great desire and passion for work. The new management listens to the local market and supports it in the best possible way. Sensing the economic crisis in which our country has fallen, the KTEL of Pieria has not increased prices on the main routes (Thessaloniki, Athens) for nine years.
